Today Shruti looks into the Kolkata Knight Riders who play their first game at home and in fact are champions at home, but they are facing a team that’s resurrected themselves this season, it’s the Kings XI Punjab. Read on or listen to her right here:
Kolkata do seem to carry a sense of disappointment from last their last over loss to Mumbai on Sunday night, but to their credit, they don’t get bogged down for too long. Positives for the Knight Riders lie in how they bat initially and how well they bowl in the middle overs. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for their fielding – it looks a little disorientated which may lead to moments of high frustrations. Another issue is their bowling in the latter end – this too could be very costly.
Moving on to the Kings XI Punjab – other than their initial batting, which doesn’t seem to carry enough aggression, I find them having the ability to pick themselves up and make up for lost ground. Their bowling should be a treat to watch – sure they’ll have minor issues, but nothing that they shouldn’t be able to get over. And luckily for them, fielding doesn’t seem to be a problem.
I’m sure it’s not tough to guess my tarot advantage for this one! Kings XI Punjab have the instincts and the right amount of aggression and.. they should make the Knight Riders fight for this one. It’s tarot advantage: Kings XI Punjab.
