Mumbai Indians v Royal Challengers Bangalore prediction from Shruti Chopra. Have a listen to her podcast or read on to know what she thinks.
The month of May begins with a double header. For the first game, the Royal Challengers Bangalore are at Wankhede ready, well hopefully ready to show up against the Mumbai Indians.
The last two games have gone down to the wire for Mumbai, one they lost and the other they won in a super over – somewhere this seems to have added some nerves amidst the team. There is a sense of hesitation in their overall approach. Batting begins very well, but seems to get overly defensive towards the end. Bowling starts and ends well, but could have a problematic phase in those middle overs.
Now if Mumbai were hesitant, Bangalore are no less. They really wish to save themselves from further humiliation and just put up a good show – they’re not expecting to win, their first bench mark is to just perform well in all areas. This attitude does help with their batting, so they should do better than they have done in the past week. Bowling is inconsistent but it should be enough to create doubt for the Mumbai Indian batsmen.
What differentiates the two teams is confidence, and Mumbai seems to be more balanced when it comes to that so, it’s tarot advantage Mumbai Indians.
