It’s Kings XI Punjab v Rising Pune Supergiant and it’s being played in Indore on 8th April. Shruti’s prediction can be heard on the link below or you could read excerpts of it right here:
With Pune having had a great start to the IPL, the Kings XI may feel like the underdogs. But they appear to have a smart strategy in place – it’s quite simple. Punjab don’t wish to play with any pressure to win – they understand that there are many matches ahead, instead, they just wish to play freely.
Looking at the Kings XI in detail, their batting will take time to settle and they may even have a few unsteady middle overs, but then they should tee off towards the end which should propel their total. Bowling on the other hand is sharp, well controlled and result orientated – but again, they could be another team that may not field too well in those middle overs.
Moving on to Rising Pune Supergiant, they start off with good balance but they could blow hot and cold. There’s an element of inconsistency with how they bat – after having a steady start, they may not be able to change gears as well as they were able to in their opening game. Bowling starts very well, but does become progressively expensive.
As for my prediction, I’ll be going with the underdogs for this one, simply because they should be able to break away from their shackles and play freely. So it’s Tarot Advantage: KXIP.
